Want to support your fellow CMX members? Now is your chance to cast your vote for their SXSW Interactive Panels.

Why is it so important that you vote for these speakers? Their talks will give visibility to our profession and the importance of what community builders bring to the table. Giving community a seat at the SXSW table means that community management in general will gain more visibility and credibility and it also means that we can share with others the true power of what we do.

Check out their talks below, register for a PanelPicker account, and vote away!

Community Management from Startup to Grownup

Meghan Murphy has been building community at Twilio as Sr. Manager of Community Programs since 2011. She most recently built Twilio's for-purpose branch, Twilio.org, from the ground up. Previously, she worked at a consulting agency called Stage Two, helping startups with their go-to-market strategy. This talk will help clarify and quantify the purpose of community as organizations scale. She's an experienced speaker, having given talks at Heavybit and the Online Community Tribe group as well as hosting talks for her very own Tenacious Thread event series promoting San Francisco fashion designers and SFCMGR.

You can watch Meghan's most recent talk at Heavybit Industries here.

The Greatest Geek Moment in History

This panel includes one of our members, Rusty Blazenhoff, of Blazenfluff. In the weeks leading up to SXSW, CNET will ask readers to vote on their favorite geek moments from history " in an NCAA basketball tournament-style bracket system to narrow the submissions down." During the talk, Rusty, along with Daniel Terdiman from CNET and Chris Taylor from Mashable will discuss what makes a great geek moment and then they will crown The Greatest Geek Moment in History. Check out one of their sample geek moments on YouTube.
