Kim Scott, Author of the Radical Candor: Be a Kickass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity and Radical Respect: How To Work Together Better; Co-founder of Radical Candor

Kim Scott is the author of Radical Respect and Radical Candor. Kim was a CEO coach at Dropbox, Qualtrics, Twitter, and other tech companies. She was a member of the faculty at Apple University and before that led AdSense, YouTube, and DoubleClick teams at Google. Kim learned the most valuable but painful management lessons as co-founder and CEO of two failed start-ups. She shares what she’s learned from failures and successes alike at the executive education company she co-founded and on the acclaimed management podcast she co-hosts.

Jessica Mara, Global Community Lead - Gaming, Education & SMB at Lenovo

Jessica joined Lenovo to define and grow the student education segment for Global eCommerce including the launch of LenovoEDU, Lenovo’s new education community. She leads the global team responsible for the EDU, Gaming, and SMB communities. During her 20+ years in EdTech, Jessica held venture growth and marketing strategy roles for EdTech startups and VC firms focused on online learning, STEM+ literacy, and workforce development. In addition to her role at Lenovo, Jessica is an adjunct professor for the Master of Arts in Educational Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Veronica Kaulinis, Community Leader & Facilitator

Veronica Kaulinis is a passionate Community Leader & Facilitator who helps people create thriving relationships and embrace vulnerability as their greatest superpower. She has dedicated 6+ years to creating transformational experiences that create meaningful connections and helping companies scale and grow their communities. She is also the Founder of the global event series 'Vulnerable AF' which is a workshop experience that creates a safe space for brave conversations and deeper connection.

Her overarching mission is to reshape company cultures, cultivate meaningful communities, and challenge any negative stereotypes associated with vulnerability.

Her work is inspired by Authentic Relating, Somatic Experiencing Therapy & Transformational Coaching.

Tirza Austin, Senior Manager, Online Community at American Society of Civil Engineers

Tirza Austin is an online community builder for the American Society of Civil Engineers. She’s implemented and launched various programs including an email management tool for more than 200 chapters at her organization, a topic moderator program, a mentoring program, and a virtual roundtable series. Next up in 2024, she is going to tackle data insights and communities of practice to support her organization. 

She has served in various volunteer roles. She is an avid supporter of CMX, a Girl Scout leader, a Toastmaster, and a member of the American Society of Association Executives. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors or playing board games with her daughter Pearl.

Grace Ling, Founder, Designer, and Content Creator at Design Buddies

Grace is a founder, designer, and content creator. She founded Design Buddies, a community with a total audience of 150,000+ helping designers improve their skills and land jobs. She is also a UX Designer at Electronic Arts.

Grace also draws and creates content about design, career, and lifestyle with  60,000+ followers. She has been featured on the New York Times Square, Wall Street Journal, KTSF, KQED, Adobe, Dell, Discord, and more. She is a world traveler and has been to 30+ countries. 

Grace is based in San Francisco and runs a founder/creator house called Bunny House. She regularly hosts events in SF and was born and raised in Cupertino, California. 

Grace is a self-taught designer who graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Bioengineering and Computer Science & Engineering. Prior to design, she developed virtual reality games to train surgeons and to make science education fun. She also ran an art business and tabled at anime conventions.

Margaux Miller, Global Director of Community at Toptal

Margaux Miller is a global community-builder and a champion for women in tech. She comes from a background working in the technology industry and with innovative start-ups.

She is currently the global Director of Community at Toptal - focused on connecting a fully remote network of top talent around the world through programming, events, pro bono work, and more. 

Margaux is an experienced podcast host and professional moderator. She is the Founder and Host of Start Canada Podcast - a Canadian vodcast interviewing start-up founders from the heart of Canada. 

Actively engaged in both personal and corporate social responsibility, Margaux founded the Manitoba Women in Tech group, is an Advisory Board Member for the WomenTech Global Network, and is an advocate for diversity in tech as well as digital literacy and accessibility.
